Innovations in cigarette manufacture at Tutun-CTC

Considering the global market tendencies in tobacco product development, they performed the modernisation of the technological processes at Tutun-CTC enterprise.

In order to increase the quality indicators and the efficiency of finished products, the tobacco goods, the company was deduced on a new modern level of technical equipment. They installed the most advanced equipment for the preparation of cut mixtures. It stands to mention that the line on tobacco processing exercises a dominant influence on the quality of cigarettes. Thanks to the introduction of new technologies in this area it allows manufacturing the products being in the excessive demand, and less harmful for the consumer’s health.

Vladimir Capcelea, the manufacture director of J.S.C. Tutun-CTC, commented in detail on the last innovations in manufacture of tobacco goods.

What sort of the equipment was installed at the enterprise recently?

In the last few years there was performed a great volume of work on the substitution of out-of-date technological equipment for the modern one from such leading manufacturers of the equipment for tobacco branch as Hauni (Germany) and Comas (Italy) at the enterprise. The first stage was dedicated to the primary floor, which allowed passing on another qualitative level of cut rag preparation. Putting in commission of the line on manufacture and cigarette packaging, PROTOS1-8, FOCKE, and the line KDF-4 on manufacturing of acetated filter sticks was the following stage. These lines belong to the machinery of the last generation due to its equipment, level of performance and high efficiency which meet all worldwide standards.
Recently the equipment for the tobacco leaf stem expansion was put in commission which allows processing the stems extracted in the process of manufacture. Earlier we sent these raw materials for processing to Europe; now the new line gave us a chance to decrease considerably the expenses, and nicotine and TAR level in cigarettes as well.

As regards the cigarettes directly, are there any changes?

Yes. Now modern cigarette line, PROTOS FOCKE, with productivity of 400 packs per one minute is installed.

What is the special feature of the equipment?

In the basis of the given construction of the cigarette line are put and considered all basic modern requirements for the techniques and technology. The availability of the laser perforation devise gives the opportunity to influence the cigarette ventilation level which in its turn provides the safety of tobacco products in accordance with the requirements of the instructions of the EU Public Health Directive. The new line differs not only in high efficiency, but also in the opportunity to increase the production of lighter segment cigarettes.

The updated line of Temp Export cigarettes.

The cigarettes "Temp Export" are positioned in the centre of the trading product series launched under the known brand "Temp" being one of the most successful modifications of this product which was effected with the participation of the specialists from the company „P. Lehmann Consulting" (Switzerland).

The above mentioned cigarettes belong to the American Blend type, the maintenance of harmful substances of which in the tobacco smoke is set at most to the European norms (the maintenance of tar, nicotine and CO in smoke does not exceed accordingly - 10,0; 0,8 and 12,0 mg per one cigarette).

The content of the tobacco blend and ingredients used in the manufacture of the cigarette Temp Export is updated and expanded (about 25 tobacco grades). Undoubtedly it had positive influence on the tasting and qualitative characteristics of the trade mark, on the expressiveness and satisfaction of the aroma and taste impact in the course of smoking.

The design and type of packaging of "Temp Export" cigarettes are similar to the cigarettes "Temp Kings Gold", being placed in a higher price segment.

Mono acetated ventilated filter with the laser perforation being more effective on keeping ability is used as a filtering element as well. The ventilation level or the dilution degree of the main stream of tobacco smoke in the course of smoking constitutes 40 %.

Modified Doina.

The cigarettes under the trade mark "Doina luх Premium" are made of the expensive import materials. The tobacco blend contains a wide assortment of perfect high-quality tobaccos of the European, Asian, American and African origins processed by special technology.

The design of the cigarettes is performed in mini cigars – cigarillos style with the original construction of the combined filter having special impregnation and the additional segment with the figured channel in a star form. This element increases the safely degree against the falsification. Moreover, in combination with the ventilation it provides the increased keeping ability and reduces harmful substances in smoke.

In order to improve the tasting indicators of products the specialists from the Swiss company P. Lehmann Consulting" were invited.

As a result of this modification the taste became more pleasant, irritating defects are smoothed and more expressed and pleasant aroma is added. Unique shades of aroma and taste will attract the attention of smokers, and also will create a pleasant smell of the lateral stream of smoke for the surrounding people, without causing any negative emotions.
