Production

Now "TUTUN-CTC" works in two basic directions: manufacture of tobacco raw materials and manufacture of cigarettes. Manufacture of tobacco raw materials is carried out under two technological schemes: - fermentation of tobacco; - threshers and redrying of broadleaf tobacco.

The production of oriental tobaccos -Iubileinii, Moldavian, Molovata- incorporates facilities for the following technological operations: loosening, purification from mineral impurities, grading, mixing for ensuring homogeneity of the entire blend and packing in standard bales of 20±2 kg.

There are also threshing facilities for Virginia and Burley tobaccos. The threshing line HAUNI with threshing capacity 5000 tones peryear consists of tipping machine which cutsoff the tops of tobacco leaves, threshers, in which lamina is mechanically separated from the stems and detached from the stems by means of an air flow and redrying where the strips are subjected to treatment with hot air. Further follows packing in big bales up to 100 kg for storage and natural fermentation (ageing).

By the order of customer fermentation plant can carry out different technological processes in tobacco treatment:

  • Reception (entrance) and grading tobaccos according to standard or customers' requirements.
  • Preparing of homogeneous tobacco lots of requested quality and its storage up to fermentation.
  • Tobacco treatment at different technological schemes and packing in standard bales of 20-22 kg. or big bales of 100kg.
  • Fermentation.
  • Finishing grading and preparing tobacco for export.
  • Processing of the tobacco with sub-standard (poor) quality.
  • Purification and processing of small parts of the leaves

Fermentation is the finishing process in biochemical changes which occur in tobacco leaves and intensify its quality- smoke fragrance and aroma- which are so necessary for using it in tobacco products.

The production of tobacco wares "TUTUN-CTC" S.A. has at its disposal traditional and modern progressive technologies, which are applying in world tobacco industry. It is equipped with the complex of specialized shops and sectors for preparation and treatment of cut tobacco mixtures of oriental ("Oriental Blend"), English ("Virginia Blend") and American ("American Blend") directions, also for production of cigarettes with or without filter of wide diapason of dimension-types and its packing in hard or warm packets with different aspects of execution and configurations.

The workshops are completed with higher productive flow conveyers and control measuring the equipment from such world famous leading machine building and instrument-making companies as HAUNI, FOCKE, ITM, COMAS, BORGWALD.

The productivity of one complex conveyer achieves 4000-5000 cigarettes/minute. Installation of ultra modern equipment in 2006 with high efficiency up to 8000 sig/mines PROTOS 1-8/Comflex – SL/Laser 300S – FOCKE 350S (Germany) allows to pack cigarettes, both into classical packs, and in packs with the rounded off edges of Round Corner type.

Each year over 6.0-8.0 thousands tons of raw material from different world regions are processed and produced more than 6 mlrd. of cigarettes of 20-30 brands are produced, which are registered after "TUTUN-CTC" S.C.

Modern equipment and highly qualified personnel TUTUN-CTC can meet different requirements of its customers, namely:

  • Production of joint and license brands.
  • Production of mono-acetate filters of different sizes and specifications.
  • Production of cut tobacco blends ( Oriental, American, Virginia Blend).
